The saying goes "don't wish for something too strongly......you just might get it......" Well, now we have instant worldwide almost free communication...., we finally got it......!!!! Does it do us more harm than good or more good than harm? When I say "us" I mean worldwide, no particular country.

WWW;is a double edged sword ;it is an opening on the world's cultures;news;technologies....but there is always the risk of finishing like Terminator :Rise of Machines...perhaps not because of machines but because of malicious ;bad people

It depends on the person and from what perspective you are looking at it. It has opened up a new avenue for pedophiles and Identity theives. Terrorist use it to plot and plan. But it also offers easier more versatile forms of communication. People who are homebound or are in remote areas can feel less isolated because of the web. I'm am getting my education thanks to the web. It otherwise would not have been possible.

i think, as long as you`re sensible and careful the net does more good! if you`re silly enough to arrange to meet total strangers or you`re irresponsible enough to let small children have free access to the internet you`re asking for trouble! the people who invented the internet cannot be expected to take responsibility for the minority of people who are either careless, silly or wish to cause others harm! i saw a fantastic ad, encouraging people to monitor thier kids internet access. a small girl was standing in a completly white room, looking down into the entrance of a dark, threatening looking alley way. that sums it up for me!

It's definitely a benefit, that's why countries like Burma have banned the Internet and China have severely restricted it, it's a threat to their sovereignty. Information wants to be free! Good luck!

it only causes harm to individuals who are to stupid to understand the value of information.
it can be dangerous to kids, yes, but parents gotta teach and watch their kids.
all this stuff on the web happens in someones real life. we sould be open and understanding of the bs poeple do.
