I think the jury is still out on that one.

Really? Humm - how do you quantify this statement? Let’s look at the current and previous generation verses the baby boomers. For the purposes of this exercise, a "Non" refers to a Generation X or Y.

1. Baby boomers: Fought in Vietnam. Non: Lounged around

2. Baby boomers: Invented the Internet and was at the forefront of computer technology. Non: Knows how to use AIM but couldn't fix a computer if their life depended on it.

3. Baby boomers: Knew what a recession and oil crises was really like and adapted. Non: What is a recession?

4. Baby boomers: Worked hard, educated themselves, and bought houses. Moved out of parent’s house before their 21st b-day. Non: 32 and still living with mom and dad.

5. Baby boomers: Engineers, technicians, business people. Non: I work at The Gap.

6. Baby boomers: Had to have a job by their 15th b-day. It wasn't beneath them to work at Mickey D's for their first job (or at a lumber yard - yeah, real work). Non: Insults customers at The Gap.

I think Generation X and the current generation are by far the worst. Most think the world owes them a living, and they don't have to actually contribute to receive the benefits of prosperity.

Children between 15-35: Grow up. Move out of your parent’s house. Get a real, non-retail job. Contribute. Realize that the Internet and TV are not real - they are entertainment (know the difference). Quit blaming your parents for your own stupidity and mistakes.

Just my two. I think the Great Generation (the one before us) was the best. They truly made the sacrifices that have given us the nation we see today (and believe me, we are 1M% better off today than we were 70 years ago)

Yes I think so, I am one of them. We screwed up worse than any other generation in history. We learned ZERO from the Vietnam War. We did Reagan to the country and then topped it with the present guy, so the country is locked in another unwinnable war and bankrupt at the same time. I put the fault with the political Christian evangelical movement and conservative talk radio but mainly with my genration for being shallow enough to buy that c r a p.

Depends on you standards, or lack thereof.
If you hate the idea of things like civil rights, or the great strides science has made in almost every field, then by all means give us a boo.

One thing we didn't accomplish was the squelching of the primitive bigotry whose hunger for groups to hate seems unquenchable. Obviously we'll have to wait until your generation passes also.

Interesting question really, tough to say. I guess you could blame them for a lot of the problems we are facing now, but they changed alot for the better too, would you want to go back to the 50's, everyone is uptight and stodgy? I dont know, I think we just need to deal with today and try to make the world a better place to live, today. It all starts with you.
