Here's my understanding....
Sasuke is said to be more powerful than Naruto. He takes time in practicing his techniques seriously (maybe even TOO seriously). He has a Cursed Seal given by Orochimaru, which makes people think he's stronger. He has many powerful techniques, and I like the Katon and Chidori the best. ^_^
Naruto on the other hand, is a lazy, selfish, and reckless guy. He is though, one of my fave characters. He has practiced the most time out of all the genins, and in one episode, Kakashi even told Jiraiya that if Naruto with the Rasengan and Sasuke with the Chidori continued their fight, Sasuke would be REALLY blown away. Many people were even impressed with his knowledge on how to use Rasengan. He even invented some techniques, like the Sexy no Justu, which is a big help to perverted enemies, LOL. And, don't forget the Kyuubi! He's known best for that, and I was relieved that in the Chuunin Exam (his fight with Neji) he didn't lose control.
So, to answer your question, Naruto is stronger, because not only is he the hero, he's cool, and has more techniques than any genin.

Sasuke is stronger now but Naruto will eventually become stronger than him. After all we've seen Naruto when he uses the the power of the Nine Tailed Fox hes practically unstoppable.

Well i think sasuke is stronger than naruto for now. But one day naruto must be more stronger than sasuke and be that 5th hokage >.

Sasuke would be stronger right now. Even Tsunade said his growth wasn't normal. But I think Naruto will eventually become stronger than Sasuke.

If Naruto loses his self, he will be unbeatable.
Even with the power of the Nine Tails, Sasuke may be stronger than Naruto.
But if Naruto loses all control, I pity anyone who stand against him.
However, Naruto will win eventually because he never gives up.

In the beginning Sasuke cuz he's got Chidori, Sharigan, and Orochimaru's cursed seal. He's a force to be reckoned with and was the top rookie genin of his year. And everything comes almost natural to him
But in the end, it'd be Naruto cuz he's got Kyubbi, Rasengan, practices till he drops and he's got true heart (the fight with Gaara was a prime example).He also beat Neji (the previous year's top rookie). The power inside Naruto is limitless....and a force to be reckoned wih far greater than Sasuke.
So in the end, Sasuke vs. Naruto, the winner is:
NARUTO!!

Naruto...
... he has larger amount of chakra in him than Sasuke...
...and one time Sasuke, before he left Konoha, challenged Naruto because he was getting jealous of Naruto because he thinks that Naruto's becoming stronger than him because Naruto defeated Gaara and an enemy in one episode, which he can't defeat...
...and currently in the manga Naruto is training -- which he might surpass Kakashi -- to become even stronger than Sasuke and to save him...

Sasuke is stronger because he has the sharigan, but Naruto has the Nine Tailed Fox inside him........

I think that they are pretty much the same. In the beginning Sasuke was the strongest, but then Naruto caught up to him!!! :) -Ash
