clip the dead flower stem near the ground, removing the spent"dead" flower head

I dead head all flowers to promote more blooms by just clipping off their "heads". On certain flowers like the Shasta daisy and blanket flowers and those with long stems go back to the first leave joint and you will probably see a bud there waiting to bloom also. All in all it makes your garden look better/neater too.

Yes clip the spent stems off as far as you can to get rebloom
