If I understand your question right, then I would say yes. Of course His idea of profit and our idea are probably two different things. But I have just noticed in my life that many times when I need something my prayers are answered through other people. I think that we can be 'profitable unto God' if we look for opportunities to help others. You never know when you will help Him in answering someone elses prayers.

Two things... no one says "unto".... and, what do you mean by "profitable"? God's not too worried about financial planning. Man can do nothing FOR God but worship Him in spirit and in truth. Live it. Be it. Do it.

Answering could be a tough Job?
For Job.
Eliphaz the Temanite asked the question to show that the level of understanding that was prevalent at the time said no. All Job's problems HAD to have come from Job's transgressions. I think that the point is......God does take pleasure in a well lived life.

Maybe, if we believe that we may be rewarded with a " Well done my good and faithful Servant" then we could believe that we may have been "profitable" to God.
The question is one of accountability, not necessarily one of measure and gain.

Oh... absolutely not.
Profit is a bad word.
You need to be a nonprofit unto god
either that, or a 501 (c)3
