I'm 19 years old and for the past year I have had absolutely no desire for sex. My low libido didn't bother me at first, but then about 8 months ago I started getting sexually active (or atleast tried to). I found I was unable to get an erection or have any desire for sex. I talked to my doctor about the problem, but he just acted like I was insane and that it was just because I was nervous.

Does anyone else have any ideas of what could be wrong with me?

First of all, find another doctor and have him evaluate you. You need to rule out possible physical reasons for your problems.

First of all, your doctor should have done a blood test to determine the level of testosterone in your system. If he didn't, its time to find a new doctor. He may have assumed no 19 year old could have low testosterone levels, but that simply is not true. He should have also checked for other possible causes, such as hheart or circulatory problems, or even diabetes. There are a lot oof medical issues that could cause this.

So, how about masturbation? Do you have a problem getting an erection then? Are you masturbating? If you are, and the erections are working fine, then it might be something else. But, if this isn't working either, then a couple of real options are the testosterone level as mentioned above, or stress or depression.

Another possibility is about the potential partners you are selecting. Maybe the partners you are choosing are just not attractive or exciting to you. It could be their body type, age, or even their sex.

But, if it is in fact just about nervousness, start slower. For the first "naked date", just get naked and explore each other's bodies. Set it out right away that this is not going to end in intercourse. That takes a lot of pressure off. Then, the next time, try mutual masturbation. Then when you are more comfortable with the two of you being naked together, the erections will come without even trying. (And that is the funny thing; think about the other person's body and pleasing that person. Don't worry if you have an erection or not. Ironically, the less you focus on your own penis, the more responsive it is.)

Good luck!

I don't know what's wrong but I'd encourage you to find another doctor. Preferably a board certified urologist. God bless!

Check your diet. Eat organic foods. Avoid sodas and energy drinks. Watch xxx and don't do anything about it. Boost the mojo.
