Typical x-ray exposure is a low enough dosage not to hurt the fetus. I had my back x-rayed when i was (unknowingly) pregnant. You can find out the dosage for a more accurate determination as to how much of a dosage you received. If you received a routine x-ray (like mine or your teeth, for example) you will probably find everything is ok. The precaution is for people not to go out and have x-rays when they are pregnant. BTW, my child is now a healthy & gorgeous 14 year old.

When my Mum was pregnant with me there really was no ultrasounds. Seeing how large my mother became in her pregnancy the doctor x-rayed her to find out if it was 1 baby or 2.
It was only me in there and the x-rays havent seemed to hurt me at all.
im fine ;) ( a little crazy at times.. lol)
Too much radiation is bad for anybody I would figure. But one xray I dont think is going to bother the baby. Like I said my mum was x-rayed ( wayyyyy back in the 70's / 80's ) And I turned out fine :)
no worries.

Each case is different. I had a series of abdominal x-rays and some other "nuclear" tests done when I was in my first trimester my son turned out to be wonderfully normal. The doctors were split in their opinion of how he would be.,

do not panic, nothing is going to happen. In general we take precaution in protecting ourselves during an x-ray. these type of rays are emitted in our daily life from diff. source like tv, comp., sun, microwave, etc...... which is neglibly harmful, but of course in high dose is not recommended

My best friend is 36 weeks pregnant and she just had a xray of her chest so by my means it would seem that it is fine as long as you dont have numurous ones.

Prolly will be fine. Just don't keep getting x-rays done. One is probably harmless. But if you had known, it was best not to have it, but don't fret now.

One time will not do anything as long as you don't have several x-rays you should be fine.

How can you have an Xray done and not know you had it done? That makes no sense.

probably nothing. Don't do it again as a precaution, but it is only a precaution. Don't worry about it.
