learn the scriptwriting format... (not hard at all, may take you a day)
write a rough plan for your story, including characters/plot/twists/ending/character development/etc
then write one scene at a time (doesn't have to be in order) starting with a scene that excites you,
then write more scenes to eventually fill a whole movie,
then rearrange, fine-tune and add more scenes,
then continue re-writing the scenes, fine tuning every scene's point and using less words but more powerful descriptive words to describe what your trying to get across
then get other people to read it and give feedback (tell them to be ruthless!!)
then get more people to read it and give feedback then re-write parts of your script again and again, continually fine tuning
now you've probably got a half-decent script that you can show people in the industry or shoot a trailer for, and then try to get funding / crew partners to help make it into a real film
JUST REMEMBER A GOOD SCRIPT CAN TAKE YEARS TO WRITE!

There are thousands of books on the subject. To write a decent screenplay, you should at least learn the format. It's not very difficult, but you will need to see the layout.
Also, understand how to break the play into acts. It is nothing more than story-telling, but with a little more structure.
There are programs available that offer layout and tips, so you might want to look into them...

The best ones come from the heart, from things you know about and things in your life. One very good movie I have seen that is a sleeper hit was "13" which was written and based on the life of Nikki Reed, who was 13 and the events actually happened to her, although in the movie she portrayed the role of the antagonist. All of us have at least one great story in our lives...pick yours and write about it.
Good luck!
