Well you could try www.online-literature.com, it's got some classics. Most of the books are pre-1930s or older (or maybe it's pre-1950s I'm not entirely sure) but there are some really great books and even poetry if you like poetry. They have books by Bram Stoker, Jane Austen, Sir Walter Scott, H. G. Wells, you know great literary writers of the past. And don't dismiss them just coz they're old, coz even the old books can have just as good a story as modern novels (and I love modern novels)

I think you would have to tell me first what you think really good books are.
- do you like fiction (novels) if yes science fiction, romantic novels, spy novels, history novels
- or doe you like books on certain subjects

I read tuns and tuns of books so if you tell me a bith more about what books you are looking for I could at least tell you what books are generally considered good books here in western countries.
