I know a guy who dosnt work and stays drunk all the time. I work 50 - 60 hrs a week. Why should life treat us the same. My wife and I work hard to love and help each other , my brother and his wife cuss and cheat on each other , Why should life treat them the same ? I was born poor , some are born rich. I know rich people that complain that there parents controll there lives , I'm glad we are not treated the same.

Because people are NOT equal some are strong, some are weak, some are smart, some are stupid, some are lazy, some have will to succeed.
How would it be fare if person who worked all his life would be as wealthy as a man who never lifted a finger?
Since all humans are different -- the talk of any kind of equality(except of equality before law) is meaningless.

It's probably a consequence of fluidity in the balances out there--the scales tip back and forth from moment to moment, which means that equality might turn out to be fleeting, unsustainable thing--although I'm not sure that balances can ever be struck in terms of love or health. Those are contingent on the attitudes with which one approaches them: I know some cancer patients who may well be "healthier" than many of the people around them.

Thats because unless two people are exactly the same - which is impossible - then no one is equal. Everyone is different. Ever heard of communism - thats what you're proposing. Communisim is great in theory, but never lasts or works because it it not how people are built to be.
