Take your house papers to the Indian Embassy or Consulate. Explain that you want to reside there and ask for an X visa so that you can stay longer than 182 days. If you are sucessful your visa will be stamped 'registration required within 14 days of arrival'. On arrival go to the Police Foreigners Registration office in Panjim, take all docs you have plus phots and fill in the forms. Within 10 days you can go back and pick up your registration documents. However they are being pretty mean with the x visa's at the moment so I would wait until you are near the time you want to come to Goa for maore than a holiday before you try and apply for one
I hope that makes sense?
