no but that would be cool...

the balloons can only maintain a small amount of static electricty... after 1 minute or 2 you would have saturated the balloons and 2 hours would be a waste of time. Also the balloons helium wouldnt be strong enough to pick up a person...

Myth busters did a balloon thing to see how many balloons it took to pick up a person they used strings....i dont remember how many it took it was alot , it was cool to see thou

No. Although the balloons are stuck to the ceiling they are still heavier than air, it is just the force of the static electricity holding it up is more powerful than the weight of the balloon pulling it down. The attraction is between the balloon and the ceiling, but the balloons still have a weight which is actually pulling the house downwards.

no, you would need literally thousands of balloons in order to lift up a human being into the air. I saw this expperiment done on the science channel, it took 3,400 balloons to lift a samll child into the air.

LOL....now that's funny! You might imagine something like that if you were smoking "the funny stuff"! Otherwise...NO...you would not fly up to the ceiling with the balloons!

What do you think? A pointless question, and I won't spend my time explaining static electricity to someone who thinks it's funny to insult a good resource.
