Yes I respect him; Yes I trust him. I lived in the Middle East for five years and have seen many things. I lived in Europe for another few years and have seen many more things.

The thing that shocks me most in coming home is how much the average American doesn't know because we live in a vacuum. You really have no clue what's happening out there, and because of that, you really don't know what this particular President has done to protect us.

I would vote for him again, if it were possible. He is a great president, and time will bear that out.

Not being attacked since 9/11 in not a gage for Bush keeping us safe. What if the next attack is plan for lets just say his last day of being president. The point I am making is that the terrorist don't tell you when they are about to strike, they are patient and smart, and determined. It is only a matter of time till we are hit again. Don't you think the best way to avoid being hit is to protect the home land and not Iraq. We should be putting the Billions of dollars we spend every week over there into our home land security and new technology. Imagine how safe we would be if our ports had the right technology to check every crate that comes to shore. Most of the funds we have for fighting Terrorist are going into creating more Terrorist by Occupying Middle Eastern Land and killing Civilians which in turn make there family members what to kill Americana's. If you can agree that it is imposable to kill every terrorist in the world then you must agree that fighting them over there so you don't have to fight them here is a failed policy just on logic. It only takes 19 Crazies to bring total chaos to America so I think we should be protecting the home front more then the Middle East.

I respect the OFFICE of President and what it means for the American people. I don't trust the current man in that nationally-sacred office, primarily because--like it or not--I'm one of those "perverts" mocking the institution of marriage by wanting to spend the rest of my life in marital bliss with my boyfriend...who also happens to be one of those dreaded foreigners from...ugh...a "godless" country.

I think our current president IS a form of terrorism, far more subtle and (thankfully) less fatal than an airplane aimed at a building. But hey, he IS aimed directly at the US Constitution and if he has his way, us "perverts" will have a brand-spankin' new constitutional ammendment saying that as far as this country goes, our marriages can never exist. Funny, our marriages DO exist, they're just not recognized as such.

But that's all beside the point. In direct answer to your question, I don't disrespect the man in office, but I do disagree with his presence there. Leaders of a country should not be a threat to various "undesirable" tax-paying citizens within that country, nor should the leaders of a country kill off members of the Armed Forces for a war on terrorism that has very little to do with terrorists and MORE to do with weapons of Mass Distraction.

Yes, I trust him. And Yes, I think he can keep us safe from terrorism. He's done a good job at that over here since 9/11.

Name ONE terrorist attack on USA soil since 9/11. There hasn't been any. There have been numerous attempts but all have been caught.

Go America!

I have no respect for any leader who does not take into account the lives of innocents into his orders. We cannot ever win a war on terrorism because war IS terrorism.

Respect, no. Trust him, let's see. He let terrorists from Saudi attack us and let them off scot-free, then sent our soldiers to fight some dude who, despite how much Bush thinks he can connect him to 9/11, never touched us, and is currently ignoring North Korea, which is currently underway in gaining nuclear weapons, active ones, unlike the dead ones we found in Iraq that the Conservatives continue to bring up as if seeing some validity in it.

Liberals just won't let it go...

The President is only one piece of the government that keeps us safe. Anyone who knows how government works knows this to be fact.

I respect our President and I think that he is doing the best he can with the help he has. I am not talking about help from our troops though, they are amazing! I mean the help he gets from other countries and congress.

I don't respect the president...
and I'm not really worried about terrorist attacks, it's about 1000 times more likely that I#ll get attacked by another American.
