Most off it go on paying back bills that they owe us!
Why are there people still starving and homeless in this country should be the question!
Africa got given so many donations last year but i think some thing around 70/80% was just taken off there national debt,so really the figures of donation are untrue!
The population increase is not effected by what we give them for a lot of the suffering is created by rich people in there country for reason of cheap labour, No birth control some women are raped by rich farmers in the villages!

Unchecked, unsustainable, population growth. We could throw the entire US economy at the problem and it still wouldn't be enough, and even if it was it would only be enough until they populated past that and drained that dry. The biggest problem in the world today that absolutely nobody is talking about is massive overpopulation, especially in the third world, precisely the ones with the least resources to deal with it. We are so busy with terrorism, the economy etc. that this subject goes
completely unnoticed and this is the one that is going to bite humanity in the butt big time, and not just this group or that, this religion or that but everybody. This planet shouldn't have more than 2 billion people on it, we are three times that and still going
with virtually no one even talking about it

Some gets lost in bureaucracy and logistics. It just gets spread everywhere and not very effectively. Plus, doesn't it seem the leaders have all kinds of benefits that the people do not.
Someday maybe we'll come to the conclusion that we should invest money into poor countries vs. giving charity because this giving money is just a part of the global politico machine. We need to give them value - a way to make money - a business.

Following your thought I must add the US to the list of poor countries (I assume you're writing from the US) because with the servicing of international debt, which is managed and accounted for in the US even if all those funds are not directly related to your tax dollars, the poor nations not only export raw materiales for your well being but they export capital also. According to the Wall Street Journal, for every dollar sent overseas, whether as foreign aid or loan, the US estalishment get $400 in return. Do the Math.

The answer to that is the same as welfare in our country. You can't just give people money or they will never value a hard days work. They will learn that they can get money without working which is a lot easier (although less rewarding) then earning a living. Third World countries do need help but it should be to promote democracy. Democracy is the only way these countries will overcome their financial problems.

I have read a lot about this subject.
The money is not given to the poor countries, but rather to their governments. Then 50% of it goes to their Swiss bank accounts and bribes to political allies, 45% for arms and 5% for food for the people, whose numbers increase every year. But even that does harm because, as you know, free or cheep food destroys local production.

A lot of the money and things meant for the poor countries gets intercepted by their rich, greedy governments. The money is sometimes used to buy food but not the means to get their own food. They continue to have more children as they are not educated well and they do not usually have access to contraception.

Corrupt politicians. It would be far better to stimulate their economies through buying things third world countries make. This, unlike well meaning charities, will actually get the money to the people who need it. It will do this by providing jobs. There is an organization dedicated to this idea called Ten Thousand Villages.

as a results of fact the money that they create has a undeniable cost. in the event that they create too lots money, expenditures pass up as a results of fact the cost of the money is tied to different currencies. whilst expenditures pass up the cost of the money diminishes, that's pronounced as inflation. think of roughly it like this: if there have been in elementary terms 5 money in a rustic and you had 4 of those money you are going to be the richest individual and the cost of each and every greenback may well be very severe. Now if the government revealed 5,000 money you will possibly now not be the richest individual and the cost of each and every of you cash may well be nicely worth lots much less. products would be low priced whilst there are in elementary terms 5 money as a results of fact how can they sell a product that no one might desire to purchase. Now whilst the government creates money, expenditures pass up as a results of fact now greater people can handle to pay for to purchase and the companies try to maximise their revenue via offering a product at a undeniable cost the place grant and insist intersect arising maximum utilization of income. So if a central authority revealed money, in simple terms as a results of fact it revealed money would not recommend that they're going to substitute into rich as a results of fact the cost of that money diminishes and now 5,0.5 money, may well be nicely truthfully worth a similar element as a results of fact the 5 money, not something differences and expenditures in simple terms alter. The unfavorable will nevertheless not have the skill to handle to pay for the products that they could not handle to pay for whilst there grew to become into in elementary terms 5 money.
