Every month, on the first day of my period, I get really sick, I mean, My stomach burns and I actually throw up. I bleed like, ALOT. The only thing that helps this is Midol, but last night I didnt have any and I was up all night throwing up. Do any other girls get it this bad??

I have heard of hormones making the bowels go during Aunt Flo but never vomiting. You definitely need to go get it checked out. Could be you have a tumor or something.

Good luck!

I used to. But mine wasn't necessarily on the first day; it could be any day. In high school and college I had that problem, along with very bad cramps. I'd get up and go to work at 8 a.m., and well before 9, I'd be back in my dorm, running back and forth between the bed and the bathroom. What time I wasn't throwing up, I was wishing to be unconscious. (And yes, I was finally put on birth control pills to help solve the problem, and it helped tremendously... and no, it didn't keep me from having a child later on.)

But it's not unusual. Here's what this site says (http://www.youngwomenshealth.org/menstrual8.html ): "When you have your menstrual period, you may get mild to bad menstrual cramps or pain in your abdomen or back. You may also have nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, a headache, or lightheadedness. Some or all of these problems may start a day or two before your menstrual period and last for part of or all of your menstrual period."

I did for years, as did my mom. The only thing that helped me was birth control pills. I started on the Ortho-Tri-Cyclen for a few years, but I was still miserable, so two years ago I started Seasonale - that's the one that you only get your period once every three months. I could KISS whomever got it approved! Instead of being sick and miserable two weeks every month, I'm just a little BLAH ten days every three months. It might be worth seeing your Gyno and discussing.

Before I was on the pill, I would feel nauseous and get very dizzy right at the beginning of my period. For me, the pill fixed it, but I know that can also make it worse. You should definitely go straight to the GYN about this one.

no that's not normal. u should go to planned parenthood (www.plannedparenthood.com) or ur gyno. and tell them whats happening. they will prolly put u on the pill. but there might be other prescripion meds for that.

...I knew someone that had that and well....she wasn't able to have kids...I'd say see your doctor about this problem and see what's up in your body...
