Honestly, I will never forget the night I had a dream. This was the first dream I recall having I was about 4 or 5 yrs old.
I dreamed that I was in heaven, and that I was in the playground with the kids, then I was going to the top of the highest slide, and when i was about to go on I hear my parents calling me, I see my mom My dad and my younger brother standing outside the gate of that playground.
My thought was I'll go on the slide, then run really fast to go with them, so I tried, I jumped on the slide, and when I got down, I ran as fast as I could to catch up with my parents but I couldn't. I woke up crying and slept in my parents room the rest of the night.

besides my daughter being born, which is one of those answers that goes without saying -
I really have several. They mostly all involve the same person though. :) My best friend who lives 1,400 miles from me now. We still get to visit once in awhile though.
We met when were 9. I thought she was a boy at first! Turned out she was a 9 year old girl like me. Only children. Parents that moved around a lot. Amazing we stayed in touch this long. My fondest memories are of swimming with her in the Gulf of Mexico on Galveston Island and playing on the beach. We had TONS of fun all the time.

Arriving in Australia, I went there for my 40th birthday, freshly divorced and free. I had held a dream of going there since a very small child, when emigration was popular in the 60's & 70's, I overheard my parents discussing it and I so wanted to be an Australian, but it wasnt to be. I waited, the time was right, I spent money flying business class each way as a treat to myself, and loved every minute of it, I still think of things I did there, places and people I met there, even after 4 years have passed. Even if I went there again, it wouldnt be the same as the first steps off the plane, knowing I had fulfilled a dream I'd held for almost 30 years

Probably my wedding. We had a fun one, not one of those fussy church weddings. We rented a big pontoon boat on the lake my parents' cabin is on. We fixed salads and a sheet cake from the grocery store. The boat's owner had a grill on the back and fixed hamburgers and hot dogs. It only held about 35 people, so we could tell people who would be hurt that the other had a big family, and we couldn't fit everyone on the boat. That way, we could just invite the people we wanted to be there. And everyone was required to wear proper attire, jeans or shorts. Even the minister said it was the most fun wedding she'd ever been to!

when I gave moral support and guidance to a guy I disliked at the time, I found it brought me down to earth when I realised he was in trouble and my own feelings fell by the wayside.
Even enemies need friends, he is doing fine now, though not because of me, I just gave him a little support when he needed it. But it made me realise that no man is an island, cheesy as that may sound, some times we can each forget those around us and make judgements wrong or right about those people.

The day I met the woman who is going to become my wife. I stared at this vision of beauty and knew right from looking at her that she was indeed a very cool lady, confident, outgoing and relaxed. She the strut of a woman who knew she was secure. We had chatted on-line for a couple of months before meeting and I had viewed a picture of her, she was extremely attractive in the picture but the picture certainly did not do her justice as she was and remains the most beautiful, wonderful vision I can picture in the world. This indeed would be my favourite memory of time!!!

We were at an outdoor concert with the local philharmonic orchestra playing. My son was only 3 years old and while enjoying the music he found a stick and began imitating the conductor by waving it in the air. A friend of the conductor saw him, and casually asked me his name. For the orchestra's finale
(Stars and Stripes Forever) the conductor called him up onto the stage, turned over his genuine baton, and let my son "lead" the players. It was the cutest thing I ever saw, and I didn't even have a camera!!!!

my favorite memory is my first. our family was moving from anadarko oklahoma to oklahoma city. my brother and sister and I were in the back of the pickup with some of our possessions. i had my dads old world war II army helmet on. the hat was blown off my head by the wind and i got upset because my folks would not stop and go back and get it. I probably had memories prior to this time but none stuck with me like this one. I was about 4 years old at the time.
