How many cans can you carry round to their house? How many is the baby gonna drink? Can you carry 12? That should cover the two you for a couple of hours at least. Then when the baby falls into an alcohol induce coma, you can pop to the offie for some more without fear that it will wake up while your gone.
*Whooohooo - there's some mighty serious answers arriving here! They just don't know you do they, Grinner. Hey peeps - HE's a ROBOT! And everyone knows that robots can drink and drink and not get drunk! They'll have the RSPCC on to you if you not careful Grinner!

You should not drink at all when babysitting especial when the baby is only 4 months old. Alcohal makes your response system lower than whenyou are sobber. If you where babysitting my children I do a full check of anything you bring into my house and all alcohal products are tipped down the drain as a parent I do have them rights to do this.

It's like driving, even if you can still do the job after having a couple of beers should anything happen (god forbid), do you really want how much alcohol you've consumed to become the issue and consequentially have the blame laid squarely at your door?
It's not worth the risk. Come on, surely you can go a night without a drink!

I'd say you'd be good for about 8 or 9 before starting on the Top Shelf. Stay in the beer garden though, in case she starts on the fruit machine.
You don't want to be a bad influence now, do you?

Yeee Haw!!! There's gonna' be a lynchin' tonight.
Just wind 'em up and watch 'em go.
I do believe the law is quite strict on drinking alcohol around four month old children. It states quite clearly 'a crate of babycham & a couple of bottles of Pims/Concord (depending on preference)'
Does Meth's count as an alcoholic beverage?

When you are caring for some one Else's baby especially, you should not be drinking at all. It affects your judgment, which is already in question, since you are wanting to know how many you should have as it is now.
You don't sound like the kind of babysitter I would want, if I had a baby. You are showing a shocking lack of responsibility, by even asking this question.

If you were watching my 4 month old I would tell you to limit yourself to 0 beers. If you want to drink than don't babysit.Anything can happen when you are charge of a child and you need to have all your senses about you to deal with whatever comes up.
Not only for the child's safety but for yours too, cause if anything bad happens to the child while in your care you are responsible, and if you've been drinking than you could face criminal charges for child endangerment.

Drinking beer when babysitting is very stupid. The parents will smell it on your breath when they return. Try magic mushrooms instead, but remember not to leave the 'shrooms in the tea-strainer afterwards.
