Interesting question. I would hope there weren't blind people driving to the ATM.

The ATM doesn't know it's a drive-up... the keypads are all assembled the same way. Plus, some people do actually walk up to them, I have. Or, I suppose, in case a blind person has someone drive them there and they get out and walk around and use it. Don't forget, banks are closed at night so it is reasonable that a blind person might need to use that ATM, however they get there.

They probably make all ATM's with braille. That way, they don't have to distinguish which one gets installed in a walkup or in a drive-in. A sighted person can use a braille ATM without any issues.

It's for blind people. I get what you're saying but Thing is all ATM machines have those dot's. THey don't manufacture one for this and one for that. Besides they'd (banks) probably get sued for discrimination by some wacko if they didn't have the Braille.

I have seen people walk up to the drive through ATM and it's probably a standard key panel

When a blind person goes threw they can get money out of the ATM and now what numbers they are pushing for their PIN number.

LOL, actually i've noticed that too, I don't know, maybe somehow a blind person will end up driving perfectly up to an ATM someday.

so the blind can read it when someone brings them to the atm
and also the drivers here in my state because they cannot see to drive either

So blind people can do their banking in the car and then take off and....oh $hit, that blind person just ran someone over!
