I'd commend you for stepping up to the plate for coming to someones'aid. However you still broke the law by having the firearm.

I would take away the firearm and remand you to parole for the offence. I do not think you should do "time" especially due to the circumstances.

Everyone deserves a chance.

While your actions may have been noble, a reformed ex-felon doesn't carry a firearm. Most judges would not look kindly on that. Best hope is your victim is Muslim, Black, Mexican and you are a Bush supporter. Then you'll get a medal.Probably wouldn't get charged in the first place either. What sentence did you get?

Doesnt matter if you are a first time felon or not, you still had a firearm, and shot someone. you did however, save a life, that would be a lessor of a sentence. But I would still put you in jail for having the gun at all on you..

Honey, you know the answer to that: Felons, are not suppose to carry any armed weapons, and in some states, not even too long of a knife... I would find someone, to have "Your Back" and say they had it and, take the fall for you, you were the "Hero" in this.. Or this supposed, person, was, and the judge will, have a bit of "Compassion", in that aspect of the crime.. But, did the robber get away? was he shot, by this person? I would definately find someone who, would really be willing to get take the fall, for you.. Or, I honestly dont think they'll trip, to much, since you did do a "Good Deed" with it......But, they are going to wonder, what you were doing with it, in the first place.. What are you going to say: "Protection"......I dont think they'll buy that one.. I'd say, you had a "Threat, on your head" I dont know... you'll have to figure things, out for yourself...I dont want to end-up, with an "Aiding & Abedding" on my head for you...Your on your own, Good-Luck !! And, definately, try to learn from this, is all I can say......

since you are not supposed to handle firearms, i'd at the very least fine you a hefty amount (say $5000 or more) or let you spend maybe a short sentence like a week in jail and then a year on parole.

you still broke the law. Its good that you saved someone, but as the judge my real question would be: why did he have a gun to begin with? I would send you back to jail, but I wouldn't make it a maximum security prison or anything, and I might be more leniant [sp?] with your sentence since you did save a life.

I would give you a $500 fine for disobeying me beforehand, then get the robber an atempted murder sentence... 5 years. I would make the victim give you $2000, because if anything, that is at least how much his life costs. :)

you will prolly be sent back my man. I feel you on saving someone's life but you know the cracker judge will ask why you were carrying the gun in the first place. You know the "3 strikes your out" rule.

Treat you like anyother hero after all you were reformed. Then I would clear his record of all wrong doings.
