Haven or Pontins is always good, they have kids clubs so the twins will be happy plus there will be lots of other kids for them to make friends with. Somewhere like Devon or Cornwall where theres lots of tourist attractions & beaches.

ive just come back from blue dolphin in yorkshire which is a haven site with my kids ages 11, 7 and 2 and they all had a really good time, it is great for entertainment and lots to do out and about i have also been to lakeland in the lakes which is also a haven site, i dont think you can go wrong with a haven site when you have kids as they are entertained all day and night and also the adults are not left out either

I suggest renting a caravan in a place like Crail in Fife, Scotland. You would be close to the sea, near to Edinburgh and to lovely scenery and would avoid much of the typical holiday camp scenario. (I come from Fife myself and think such a trip would offer a great deal for you and your children. It would also not cost a great deal and you could get there by coach).
