10 o'clock Eastern time and Pacific time. It can be on the same time in different time zones because they are different broadcasting stations. CBS in New York is WCBS. Most stations west of the Mississippi start with the letter K. They are owned by the same parent company ( ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, Turner, FOX, etc ), but they are different stations. This would usually happen for the serial programs. Games are usually in real time ( meaning an afternoon ballgame in LA starting at 3 PM would broadcast on the East Coast at 6 PM ). Also, the commercials would be different

A show will be aired at 10PM in the eastern time zone, and again in the pacific time zone. If it's aired at the same time (usually on channels that don't have regional affiliates, like in Canada Showcase, Bravo), it will usually say something like 10PM ET/7PM PT. Someone can watch a programme in Ontario at 10PM ET and someone can watch the same programme on the same channel at 7PM PT.

Mountain time is one hour ahead of Pacific Time.

ET/PT refer to Eastern Time and Pacific Time. For pre-recording programming, there is a three-hour delay between broadcasts in the east and broadcast in the west, which is why they often has the same hour.

Because they air the shows at that time, in that time zone. Otherwise, a show on at 10:00 on the east coast would air at 7:00 on the west coast if everyone was watching it at once. So, people on the west coast see the show three hours later than people on the east coast do. They don't make this adjustment for the central time zone. In that case, a show that is on at 10:00 on the east coast is on at 9:00 central time (Minneapolis, for example, is in the Central time zone.) I don't know how they handle the Mountain time zone.

That doesn't mean it will air on at the same time in both places. It will air at 10 PM Eastern first, then 3 hours later it will air at 10 PM Pacific.
