It must not be as healthy for the cats or something. Or, there's just less meat on the mouse so the profit would be less

Most cats don't eat mice. Cats hunt mice, but they generally bring the carcass back to the alpha after they have killed it. For domestic cats, the alpha is the cat's owner. They are looking for approval and standing in the pack. The family they live with they consider their pack. Also, in most cases, the cat plays with the mouse and bats it around until it dies. Rarely does a cat bite a mouse, much less eat it. Stray cats have more of a tendency to eat mice, but they would rather climb into a dumpster to see what kind of tasty morsels would be easier to get.

The intent of cat food is to get the nutrition a cat needs, and there are many things a cat likes to eat more than mice.

Because there is no business sense in the product. Most cat owners would not want to feed their lovely pet with such food of awful origin, and it will defeit the purpose of having a cat in the house - to catch the mouse.

On the footnote, by the way, a cat doesn't really eat the mouse.

I never thought of that one. And with all the rodents available, the raw material's not expensive. But then again, most of the materials that go into pet food that's currently sold are leftovers and rejects from packing houses and such, which is inexpensive. I'm with you though, someone should make a mouse flavor.

There is. It's called Mouse. Oh, you mean canned. Well, I'm sure someone attempted that but the idea got canned by the health department. I mean who'd work for a mouse canner or mouse nugget manufacturer? Gross.

Because PETA and every person that thinks way too obsessively about Fievel and Mickey, Minnie, et al, would throw a fit.

Because cats don't care what flavor it is, if it's small rodent size and running by them, they will eat it.. ie: lizard, mice, rat, insects, squirrels etc...
