Recently, when I take the emergency brake off in my car...I can be going down the road and the brake light come back on. I'll check the emergency brake and of course, it's off, but the light comes on at different times, then cut back off. What can cause this?

The emergency brake shouldn't have anything to do with your break light comming on. 2 things can be wrong, 1. the brake light switch it self which is located on the brake peddle or 2. a short in the wires.
Good Luck

after you release the brake drive the car and when it comes on just tap the emergency brake and see if it goes off if it does maybe you have to much slack in the cable allowing the brake lever to vibrate to the on position, not enough to apply brakes but to trip the light. Just sitting there you can test this buy tapping on the e brake lever. If so have it adjusted or adjust the switch.

Have your braking system checked immediately. If the light is coming on while you are driving, it could be a problem with the master brake cylinder ...low fluid, leak of vacuum pressure or some other cause.

Check the fluid level in your brake reservoir. It is probably low. Go to auto parts store they will help you if you don`t know where it is.

Check the wiring. Could be a short circuit or loose wire
