I have heard that if you freeze sheets or clothes for a few days ,it will kill any kind of bugs you have.

If you kill all the fleas in your house without killing the little pests in the yard you will continue to have a problem inside.
You really don't have any control if your pet goes out of your yard, but you will need to spray your own yard about two times during the summer months with a good flea insecticide.

One of the main reasons a house will become infested with fleas is, after you vacuum your house and put the vacuum away, every flea that was in the vacuum bag will crawl right back out of the vacuum cleaner and into the house and start multiplying.

The way to stop this is to take the bag out, spray some flea insecticide in the bag and tape the hole of the bag up. Then spray the insecticide around the house. If you will repeat this process every two or three days for two weeks you will not be infested with fleas any more.

You can resume your normal schedule of vacuuming after you clear up the infestation, but you will still need to tape the vacuum bag up just in case you pet brings a couple of fleas in from outside.

Your local pet store should have good options for the fleas on your cat/s. They also carry organic products. Be careful not to use any dog flea products on your cat, it can be lethal.

LOL I've answered this before, but spreading the word isn't a bad thing. Chrysanthemums!!!!!
Rip up the flowers and place them under all your furniture, cushions on the couch, and some on the rug and vacuum them up, and keep them in your vacuum. Also rub some between both hands and then rub your hands into the cats fur. You will get rid of the flea's within days, and never be bothered with them again, if you keep replacing the flowers every few months. Works fantastic, and is safe
