The only way to get a job is to make up answers for those silly job interview questions. Like what are your strenghts and weaknesses. If you say I really am a good sleeper but I am just not that good at getting along with evil bosses, you will not get the job even if it is true. If you say my weakness is that I try to hard to do a good job, then that is the right answer. If they ask why are you interested in this job and you say that you are desperate for the money they don't like the answer. You have to say it is what you have always wanted and you are so excited to do it you do not care what they pay you. Are the interviewers stupid or just sadistic?

First of all (i'm talking from my experiences) I think the guys who make the interviews are stupid. Most of them are not qualified for that.
Then they say (I don't believe it though) that they make these stupid questions not to get a correct answer but to see how u react ... Really don't know.

Personally I believe that : they have a budget and they hire the person who makes the best impression within the budget of course. When I say impression I don't necessary mean skills but a total impression (looks, temper etc! )

Tip try to find a phrase to describe your profession in a way that will impress the interviewer !!! It really worked for me !!! Crazy eh???

You should try to remember that the interviewer is human too, and often also nervous, especially if you made it past human resources and are actually interviewing with the supervisor, or department head, or if it is a small business.
In part, when your are in an interview, the interviewer has those questions in order to keep the conversation moving. Get you talking so that you can both get to know each other better. The questions are silly, but can you think up better questions that don't seem silly but are still pertinent to the job interview topic?

As someone who has taught job-hunting before, I can tell you what I've told my students: There's a reason behind every interview question. Your KEY to success is to find out that reason and mold your answer around it.

With "What are your strengths and weaknesses," do you think the interviewer really wants to know about them? Actually no!

What they "testing" is whether you're able to self-evaluate yourself. If someone tells me that they have no weaknesses, that says they think they're perfect, which is pretty cocky and arrogant. We all have faults.

FYI, many "experts" on interviewing tell you not to mention a real weakness for fear that you'll look bad. Personally, I disagree with this. And here's why.

I used to be a very poor speller and was going for a job as an Administrative Assistant Who wants to hire someone who can't spell? Just picture this person on the job misspelling a client's name.

I could have lied and made up something else, but I decided to be totally honest about it and show how I decided to improve myself by practicing spelling. And it did improve. This impressed the interviewer by showing that I recognized a challenge and overcame it.

That's what they like to see!

they ask questions in an interview because they want to in what
position you are and you are fit for tha particular job or not.based on these questions they want to know your mentality and ability to do the work.so conducting an interview is common in all work offices.but in some offices there may not be interviews in those places they do not believe in the ability of the people.the questions which are asked by them are stupid to us but it is very important for them

Actually most times there is no wrong or right answer to the question. Interviewers just want to observe your body language, to see if they can fluster you and whether you can think on your feet (well actually think on you butt!)

only be sure you bypass over what sorts of things you do on your free time. do not only record video games, and stuff like that. tell them stuff that you do like study, activities, stuff like that. also possibly comprehend some thing about the organization. i have under no circumstances been requested this, yet in the adventure that they're a huge chain then discover some thing about them on the information superhighway, if no longer then only tell them what you want about the keep. be sure you tell them you're in college nonetheless, and tell them what you go with to be, in case you comprehend. only make it up in case you do not lol.

well the thing is they do not take your anwers for what it is they look beyond the answers, like through your answers they can tell your personality, or how fast can you come up with an answer or even how smart you are in perfecting your answers, they sometimes can differentiate an honest one or a lie but behind those answers they can already tell who you are
