there is a big trade fair in pragati maidan, try Hotels in karol bagh area and i think you can still get booking

India celebrates her Independence Day on 15th August. So Delhi Police has tightened norms for hotels due to probable terrorist attack. You might have to prod really hard to get yourself a hotel room. Do carry your ID with you at all times.

India Independence Day. Try emailing or calling the hotel directly and ask then if they have any rooms available.
