I'm also concerned (mind you I'm not from the US and do not live in the US):
1. Al Gore is actually helping you guys adn by extension the rest of us. His campaigning is not disservice whatsoever to your country and the world.
2. You guys made a terrible mistake at letting Bush get way with is election fraud five years ago. You repeated that mistake reelecting him.
3. The Al Gores answer you questoning about intelligent people around. Yes, there are a few bright minds and strong willed fellows around. Join them.
4. Your concerns show that you're one of them. So, keep up nurturing your doubts.

No one has proven what causes global warming (if global warming is actually occurring). If global warming is occurring, how can it be proven that it is caused by SUVs? Could the Sun be getting hotter? Could the Earth be getting closer to the Sun? How do you explain that the Earth was molten planet at one time and then an Ice Age came and then now the Earth is not covered in ice? How did that cycle occur? Could it occur again?
You mention "gas guzzler"... how many MPG does a vehicle have to get to be a gas guzzler? If an SUV gets 14 mpg and it can carry 7 people and one car gets 25 mpg and can carry only two people, what is less efficient?
What is your alternative? Should we all stop driving cars? What about the millions of tractor-trailer trucks that get ~4 mpg and drive hundreds of thousands of miles delivering products to stores? Should we shut them down? Should we stop mowing our yards with gas mowers? Should we outlaw the use of coal? What about building more nuclear plants for our electricity?
It is so easy to bash one way of doing things but if one does, you must have a good alternative. The only thing I've ever heard from Democrats is "Bush is evil. Vote Democrat". Democrats never have an alternative to anything they bash and they never give reason to vote FOR Democrats, they only shout hatred towards Republicans and tell people to vote AGAINST Republicans.
Agreement will never occur when your side and our side BOTH spew hatred towards each other and when your side never provides an alternative.

I am concerned that people like you accept global warming without question.
Roughly 10,000 years ago there was an ice age. It ended. Why? Global warming. And maybe I missed it in the history books, but I'm pretty sure there was not an industrial revolution 10,000 years ago.
There was a long warming period between 900 AD and 1400 AD, with temperatures hotter than they are now. Again, I'm pretty sure there was not an industrial revolution back then.
Between the 1940s and 1970s, we had a cold spell, in which all of the "experts" were claiming we were headed for a new ice age.
The globe might be warming right now, but it will cool down again. It is a cycle of the planet that humans are not responsible for. Think for yourself. "Free your mind"

Plain & simple the word for the day is GREED!!! That is why they won't believe it. Too many big corporations paid for this administration to be in office...now the administration has to go along with what the big corporations want. Even if it means killing the palnet. It's not just ignorance, it's also arrogance. They think that humans are not responsible for much of anything that goes on on this planet...it's always someone else's fault. The only way it will change is to change the administration. Get out & vote like you've never voted b4...our very lives depend on it now more than ever.
And I think Al Gore did a great service by putting out his movie cause MAYBE it changed some people's minds & they will get out & vote. And vote for someone else that will get things back on track.

Oh, I believe that global warming exists. I just believe that the human effect is miniscule. There is clear evidence that the Earth has been hotter than it is now.
You global warming Kool-Aid drinkers think that this is a consensus opinion within the scientific community. It is not.
30 years ago, there was similar fear that the Earth was cooling, on a near catastrophic scale.
I don't buy that the human race is responsible for this.....not to the extreme extent that you people say.

Of course the earth is warming up - the question is - what is the cause?
The temperature of the earth follows cycles of warm/cold/warm/cold etc over the millenia - but now has greenhouse gases caused a naturally occurring warm cycle to be accelerated? Anyone who claims they know the answer to that one is either a fool - (Al Gore PBUH) - or a liar...
(Even tho Gore invented the Internet he doesnt know the answer to that one...)

do a little research!
During the 1970-1973 world conference of climatologist conference, they all agreed that we"the world" must take drastic action to prepare for the coming ICE AGE!
Remember this is the same bunch that are now predicting doom and gloom from the coming global warming! It's just another phase of our normal climate cycle.
