Lots of people would probably say Bill Gates, because of the fact that he's so rich. But what about Arnie? Firstly he became Mr. Universe in a body building competition. Secondly, he became Hollywood's most expensive actor. And now California's governer. I'm just explaining the context of the question. Is there a certain formula to which one meassures one's success?

Abraham Lincoln. He grew up very poor, had a learning disability, he was constantly depressed, and he married a women who had problems of her own. Lincoln not only became president, but he held this country together during a horrible crisis. He freed a whole group of people and gave them self worth.

I don't know how you measure success but if you leave the world just a little bit better then when you came, I call that success.

But what is success? One could state Donald Trump. And what's wrong with Robert Aplanalp, who invented the aerosol nozzle.

So, a criteria is needed to define the question better.

Sam Walton. He built the Wal-Mart dynasty, as well as all those Sam's Clubs and other ventures. He made billions of dollars but still wore jeans and flannel shirts and drove a pickup truck. Financial success and total comfort. He gets my vote.

I would have to go with Jesus Christ from a non-religious standpoint.
He spent his entire life convincing 12 guys he was the son of God. Those 12 guys then went out and "Spread the word" and now half of the world believes it.

First Jesus Christ!Second I would have to say Dr. Martin Luther King,he helped generations of people and his message is still valuable and needed today! If it were not for Dr.King.we would not have all of our favorite players from Pro Football such as Walter Payton,or boxers such as Muhammad Ali or great entertainers and rappers would not be able to be free to rap,I also would not have my Ghanian Neurologist or my Jamaiican granddaughter!
