Well, no...you shouldn't take people who do drugs too seriously because their state of mind is altered...even if it is weed. They don't protest against drugs because THEY'RE ON DRUGS! lol. Don't you see the hypocrisy?

Your statments are idiotic.
No one (including those you label hippies) is marching in favor of people to overdose on drugs to the point of death. The drug controversy is: people should be allowed to do what they like, without interference from big government. This includes harm to oneself, like drinking alcohol, which has killed more people than drugs and Nam combined.
Also - the people who died in Nam did so because there was a war exacerbated and/or fought by the USA. Those casualties were not due to the "hippies" protesting the war.
Then you bring in Roe v. Wade? You must love big government telling people what to do. A tiny bunch of cells does not equal a human being. I know you're stupid, but please don't fall for the propaganda that abortion is murder, but it's just a bunch of cells, so small it doesn't matter. Do you scoop up each sperm you discard during your frequent masturbation?
For Iraq?!? What did Iraq ever do to the USA? There's no Al Qaeda connection. Afghanistan was where the 9/11 terrorists came from. The Iraq war is an oil war on behalf of Dick Cheney's corporations. Now that the USA is stretched thin, it will be difficult to address Iran and North Korea - actual threats. The USA cannot fight on four fronts: Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, North Korea.
I am afriad the facts reveal that you are a total idiot.

How do you think drugs get into the country. Do you think there is a million hippies trafficking drugs. Drug money helps us support our economy. The CIA has been involved in Trafficking drug into the country for decades. Did you think that all these countries around the world could get Billions of drugs into our country with out our help or approval. Drug money is one of the biggest business in the world and it would crazy to think that the U.S. is not going to get its share of the money when the drugs come into our own country. There is no real War on Drugs just like there is no real War on Terror. These are catch phrase made up by the government so that they can profit while condemning at the same time. Everything that has to do with Big Business(Drugs)(Oil) in this country is run that way. When you start looking at America doing things for moral reasons you forget that if no money exchanges hands then nothing would get done. Would you work for free? Would you get rid of the Drugs in this country if you knew the economy would collapse? My point is Drugs and Iraq is the governments doing for profit don't blame the product (Hippies) for the issues in today's world. Its a little deeper then that.

People who choose to use drugs are not heroes of society.
Soldiers dying for our country are heroes. Big difference.
Civilians don't choose to be targets.
So I'll protest the war, not the drug users.
And there is a "war on drugs" that not too many protest.

I highly doubt the validity of your claim that more Americans have died from drugs than from war.
Please offer links to your evidence.
Additionally, drugs were a regular part of American society long before the 1960s.
For instance, coke used to have coke in it, in the early 1900s. That's why it was called coke.
Please get your facts straight.
Take care.

Notadummyrat? I beg to differ.
If even only one out of ten hippies who ever took drugs died, I doubt if you'd even have half as many fatalities as there were in WWII alone. Since you mention Vietnam, which, by the way, wasn't even ever considered a war, let's use that one for an example. Fifty-eight thousand Americans died there from 1961 to 1973, one of the "least costly" wars as far as numbers go, despite two of my closest relatives dying there. During that same twelve years, there were approximately forty-thousand drug overdoses in this Country.
Since you mention mass murderers, let's talk about two of the worst, Manuel Noriega and Saddam Hussein. Both can thank one man above all others for training them and ensuring they stayed in power. This man gave them guns, missiles, tens of billions of dollars, tanks, fighter jets, and he had their pilots trained. He even took them to seminars on how to use WMDs, some of which he provided to them. This man was the former head of one of the most bloodthirsty intelligence agencies ever to disgrace this planet. Was this man who aided these War Criminals a terrorist? You bet.
Was he Isama bin Laden?
Hardly. He was George Bush, Sr.
Of course, in his last public years, Old George declared war on Hussein after he gassed ten thousand of his own Kurds with Mustard Gas. George had given him the gas and it was just too potentially embarrassing to that administration, which also included Dick Cheney, Don Rumsfeld, James Baker III, and Paul Wolfowitz.
George also put Manuel Noriega in jail. George had been spending a lot of time on the hotseat in front of congress and the senate because of him and Ronnie Reagan giving so much cash and weapons to the Contra Freedom Fighters, who had killed tens of thousands of their own people. A lot of questions were being asked about if some of this funding might have maybe had something to do with a cocaine pipeline headed by Manuel Noriega and the Medellin Cartel. Old George was really sweating it, so Manny Noriega had to go bye-bye.
Poppa Bush was also a buddy of Nicolae Ceauçescu of Rumania. Have you ever heard of him? You should. He killed fifty times more of his people than Saddam Hussein ever did, a half-million at least.
It would take a lot of crack and smack to even that one out, wouldn't it, Notadummyrat?
Hippies are best known for pot-smoking, not hard drugs. Do you know how many people have died from pot smoking in ten thousand years of use, Notadummyrat?
The same as your Credibility Rating.
Zero.

youre nimbers are false. hippies in the 60s didnt bring drugs, intoxicants have been a part of human ritual, from religion to recreation, for tens of thousands of years. more die from alcohol than all drugs combined (reuters) & more die from tobbaco than alcohol. vastly more have died in war then from drugs & your assertion of the contrary is blatantly absurd. whoever you are getting your info from is wrong. you are becoming a dangerously inept person by supporting these delusions.
