I have NOT watched a single programme/episode. The whole concept bores the pants of me.

Totally agree. I'd rather watch the washing machine. Certainly *my* life is a heck of a lot more interesting than those of the dull non-entities on these programmes.

I never watch any of these types of programmes, I believe they are produced by the TV companies as they have run out of ideas for sensible viewing. There just doesn't seem to be the calibre of good quality comedy, drama or documentaries on TV any more.( I am referring to British TV) This seems to be the cheapest form of TV, just stick cameras up in various places in a building and see what happens, then make up a banal commentary, cheap at half the price! I'm just pleased I dont have to pay for a TV licence as I dont agree there is any real value for money. Before you ask, I am not UK resident, I get UK TV through the cable company. Mind you, having seem Spanish TV..................

I hate all of the reality TV shows, except for "I'm a Celebrity get me out of Here!" and I only watch the Bushtucker Trials because the celebrities usually get really stressed out and covered in/ have to eat insects, which I somehow find rather amusing.

I think it's because it's really cheap TV. They pick people who are desperate to become "celebrities," point a few cameras at them, give them toilet rolls and inflatable chairs and feed them pasta.
They don't even have to give these people salaries.

TV channels have become very lazy, they can't be bothered to make proper programmes anymore!

I don't get it either. The whole concept is that you get to watch "reality". But the fact that these people "know" they're on the show, it's not reality any more. They just end up showing off and playing to the camera. And it's really annoying!

Reality shows are drama, that's why they are so popular. People rather watch others make fools of themselves, fight, curse, etc. It makes for good watching. I myself love reality shows, especially America's Next Top Model, Project Runway, College Hill, etc. We have to face facts. We are in an age of Reality.

Its a women thing. My mum and sis watch them and it lets them ***** and snoop into other peoples lives. People who watch them i think are well to be honest incredibly nosey. Its the same as those gossip mags. Have you read any of them. Oh my god. From front to back they are about z-list celebs having some food or taking a walk. Like i give a fu**.

the millions who tune in to these shows obviously cannot think of a better way to spend their time. they do not seem to have a life of their own and live through the various soap operas and those mind numbingly boring reality shows. they are to be pitied really for their lack of imagination in their own lives...would you agree?

I think you need to educate yourself and try one, you might be pleasantly surprized. It's nice to have adventures vicariously. Try one like The Amazing Race.
