To what extant is it true that muslims wish to abolish democratic governments and establish a global caliphate? I paraphrase Voltaire when I say I would fight and die for your right to be a jerk, and for my right to call you a jerk! As a hedonistic american atheist who opposes the abolition of democracy, do I deserve to die? I am a rational, intelligent person who seeks understanding and enlightenment for all, but not through the teachings of the koran. Am I damned forever?

Keep in mind you may set my opinions on this matter for good.....

according to the bible one day god got pissed off and sent forth a great flood which killed millions, including children and babies not to mention virtually all plant and animal life. if god is capable of doing this then he does not need some fanatical extremist to do his work for him. as for muslims wishing to abolish democracy look at http://www.snopes.com/photos/politics/muslimprotest.asp

as proof they do

It is sad that Islam states that non Muslims are somehow less worthy than Muslims.

it is equally sad when Christians state that the there is no other way to salvation than claiming belief in Jesus.

Clearly both cannot be right. It is more likely that both are wrong.

The world needs to find a solution where everybody can go to heaven. Not jjust Christians and Muslims.

No one deserves to die because of their beliefs/lack of. Now i'm not a Muslim (I'm a Catholic) But i have Muslim friends, some of them live their lives by the Koran, others do not so you're not on your own there! As for being damned forever? Well surely there is only one God no matter what we call him/her (God could be a woman for all we know) but so what? Muhammad's teachings came long before our time! They were based on his time, not ours, same as Catholic beliefs! Nowadays Jesus wouldn't have been crucified, we would all have had a massive protest and he would had got an appeal! Times changed since our teachings were written and those who still demand to live their lives (And have others do the same) According to these treachings need to break free from dogmatism and enter the real world! In my case ... I'd be damned forever for divorcing first husband, using contraception and never mind avoiding Mass because i didn't fancy bumping into two-faced people making my life hell in Church! But hey! My priest knows about it all and know what? he gives me communion because, where he's concerned, i do enough good deeds to make up for my ideas and that's what it's all about! Judge not less thy shalt be judged. So there!!!

If you read the Koran - which is available on the net - you will find that as a heathen it is a worthy act to rid the world of you. Now I have only read it in an English translation and I have not been exposed to the teachings of an Inman but that is how it reads to me. I suggest you read for yourself. It is going to be hard to tell if the folks who answer this question (including myself) have an ax to grind.

Deserve has nothing to do with it - death is the only absolute certainty of biological life. Whether you (your soul) will be damned or not is speculative generally and specifically requires belief in a faith system that engenders salvation and damnation as its principle tenet. Islamic fundamentalism is a very awkward religious concept for anybody not completely inured in it from birth, as it comprises and requires wholesale devotional practice and worship in a way that completely encompasses every aspect of day-to-day life. That said, what value is there in converting to Islam, as your past life as a non-practitioner will surely mark you as damned anyway?

Voltaire also wrote about how a nun ate her own buttock. He was funny as heck, but I don't think you should base your decision about life on his beliefs. He probably did lots and lots of opium. I don't that that any person has a right to decide who lives and dies. That is up to the higher power that you don't think exists. Try reading the Tao of Willie Nelson. He is a smart man for a burn out.

What they relish in is our Census that says in 100 years 30% of the world will be Islamic and 3% will be white which includes the Jews so they just have to wait they can't lose.

Are you really asking a bunch of perfect strangers to dictate YOUR opinions? This is very far from Voltaire's philosophy.

No you do not deserve to die. My beliefs differ from yours but a religious person cannot condemn a non religious person to death for different beliefs.
