After installing and running ALL of the following software CHANGE ALL your e-mail passwords. And anyother passwords you use.
Use good passwords too, nothing lame like, "12345", or "password" or your "name" of "birthday" or anything easy to guess.

I use all of the following Free software with Windows XP SP2 and Internet Explorer with MSN toolbar and the pop-up blocker turned on and have never had a single problem with my computer sense Microsoft came out with SP2. (knock on wood.) (And be sure to keep Windows and the following software Updated)

The best Anti-virus is: AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition. (www.grisoft.com)

The Best Spyware defense is: SpyBot Search and Destroy (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html)<--English version

AND: AdAware SE (www.lavasoft.com)
AND Spyware Blaster (http://www.javacoolsoftware.info/kb/)
The best Firewall besides the one that comes with Windows is: Zone Alarm (http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/co... or just (www.zonelabs.com) and select the FREE version.

These are all FREE and are all that are required. There is no reason to pay for this kind of software, except to give a donation to the writers if you can.
ALL the above programs are recommended and should be run on a regular basis. With some the free versions they must be run manually.

The best way to avoid getting any Malware (virus, Trojan's, spyware, etc) is to practice safe computing. Microsoft and many others have countless articles on the subject of safe computing. (something I think should be taught in schools)

Do what Microsoft did, on 15,000 Microsoft.com and 15,000 Hotmail.com computers! Switch entirely to Virus free, hacker proof, Linux!!! Join Google.com! Google runs on 100,000 Linux computers!

Looks similar to MAC OS X, but, it is FREE, and it RUNS on all computers, 8X faster than Windows did! Yahoo.com runs on FreeBSD, the Unix clone that Mac OS X is most closely related to, (DarwinBSD, you can have OpenDarwinBSD, or Ubuntu Linux, free, for your MAC!).

I am running it in the LiveCDrom, right now, and removed the hard drive from this system, put it into an external Firewire/USB2
Airlink 101 case! Formatted for EXT3, it never gets fragmented!

I have over 1,600 games, applications! All drivers, for all toys, tools, cameras, and printers are built in!

Do as people say
Get a good firewall like Zonealarm
- http://www.filehippo.com/download_zonealarm_free/
get good antivirus like Avast
- http://www.filehippo.com/download_avast_antivirus/
get some free antispyware protection like Spybot
- http://www.filehippo.com/download_spybot_search_destroy/

download and install them; run Avast and Spybot to get rid of anything nasty.

If you use internet explorer, download and install McAfee Site Advisor. It's free and will give you a warning when you visit a harmful site.

If you are unsure how to use any of these free programs to protect your pc, just ask another question. Someone will help you.

find a firewall program and install it (recommend zonealarm or black ice or both)
that will not allow him to get in
then get spyware to delete whatever he put in (spybot or zonealarm)
if you have rollback, i suggest you roll your computer back before he got in, in case you can't catch all of the changes he did
there's no magic command that will undo what he did wrong
