I left England after 36 years there (from birth), and don't miss a thing!
Family and friends can come here easily to visit, we chat regularly by email and IM/webcam, and there are very few English products of all descriptions we can't get if we want to - and we can always have family and friends bring stuff out!
If you're thinking of getting out, do it sooner rather than later - it's the only thing I regret in my life, that I didn't do it sooner!

My friends (my family is non-existent).
But also most definitely my beloved Barnet Football Club! I can't remember the last time I missed a home game and can't begin to wonder how I would feel if I couldn't see them in action on a regular basis. The friends I have made as a Barnet fan factor into this too.

The rain and cold damp mornings in the winter. Also how everything is so close like the forest to the left of me and the sea to the right. Then the moaning shop/till assistants in supermarkets they just leave you smilling with there bad attitude..viva tesco.

Mainly the food: pasties, meat and potato pie and gravy, proper sausages, fish and chips, scones, clotted cream!
Not forgetting Newcastle Brown!
I think I would just generally miss home!

my friends, understanding how everything works like currency and transport and directions, having such a good grasp of the language, the way randomers chat to you and old people smile as you pass them on the street, feeling safe when i walk home alone at night (i no not many people would agree but when you compare it to other places), the way we get greeted when we go into our regular cafe and they know what we want and give us extras :)
