Will there be another "ghandi" or "nelson mandela" "Jimmy Carter" that will impact on how the world societies coexist. Where have all the powerful humanitarians gone?

The kind of people that inspire the masses for good, that people write songs about, that when they talk they make you feel good, that offer hope for mankind.

They've always been rare - that's what makes them special. But I see no reason that we won't have more. They may be out there working on whatever problem right now. There's too many people in the world for there NOT to be someone to stand up and lead.

Why shouldn't it be you? Or me? Or anyone who sits here typing words that hundreds of people might read. When I started giving my kids an allowance I told them to divide it into three parts... one for them to spend immediately... one to save for future use... and one to give to the charity of their choice. Sure, the few bucks they gave to the humane society and other causes didn't make a huge impact, but it taught them to give to those who have less than they have. If every one of us gave to a cause and convinced only one other person to do so, a change takes place. I guess my point is that we could all stand to work on being better humans and humanitarians. Spread the word. Each one teach one. Peace

Someone will crop-up every now and then. This has been the humanitarian cycle of intellectual evolution and it will go on till doomsday.
