you probably have the gene for the disease but it can skip a generation.however i have studied people who have had difficulty of getting pregnant and i have seen too many that have been unable to unless they use fertility drugs.these meds can lead to multiple births but there hasnt been any documentations ofany major side effects except the high incidence of more than one child.i believe that since our enviornment changes from decade to decade, or even year to year women experience problems of conceiving.it may be the male or the female.its rather scarey because of the increasing number of females that dont get pregnant without medical intervention and less time never do have a child.i suggest dont try too hard and give your body time to become pregnant.anxiousness can cause your nervous system to make you tense and thats not normal when you have sex.

The best thing to do before giving up is to see your doctor. He can confirm either way. Keep in mind that getting pregnant is either way to easy or way to hard for most people. I am 24 years old, in great health, as is my husband. We had a daughter 2 years ago, I got off of the birth control, we used condoms for 3 months, then started trying. BAM! I got pregnant the first time. I've now been off of birth control for about a year (other meds interfered) and we're trying to get pregnant again and it seems to be taking a little longer. When getting off of birth control to try to conceive, you should never just stop taking the pill and then try to get pregnant immediately. You should get off the pill and see your doctor first. Let him check you out and make sure everything is good to go and get his OK to start trying. Give your body time to get your hormones back in order, wait at least 2 or 3 periods. Stress and anxiety play a huge role in trying to conceive so If your Dr throws out the cystic fibrosis scenario, just relax and at least enjoy the trying! Good Luck!

Go to the doctor and get tested for Cystic Fibrosis.. that's the only way you're going to know. ALTHOUGH.. people who are only carriers hardly ever experience any problems from it. Get checked anyways.. and if you do, have your husband checked as well, because if he's a carrier, then that IS the reason you're not able to concieve.. mother nature tries not to let that happen.

If you were on birth control it will take you a while to conceive, it can take a normal healthy woman a year o longer to conceive, my advice would be to relax and not to worry about conceiving it will happen when you least expect it.
