censorship does exist on the net, there's no question about it. Basically: it sucks. No matter how twisted someones opinion is, he or she should be able to voice it. Otherwise these opinions might grow like any festering swores, because noone will be able to prove how wrong the opinions of that person are.
Other examples of censorship are the Chinese and North-Koreans: they only want their citizens to see certain websites, not the entire internet. Combined with a lack of freedom of speech and freedom of press, their view of the world is rather twisted.
On the other hand: there are quite a few sick bastards out there that will abuse their freedom of speech by harassing others (plenty of examples to be found here on Yahoo Answers). But I'm a firm believer of self-regulation by the internet-community, rather than government imposed measures.
