What do you mean? The Australian gov. is doing all they can, as quickly as they can to get them out of there to safety. Funny how noone is blaming the Lebanese prime minister don't you think?! Also, if we want to make comparisons....,, look back to how long it took for the people of New Orleans to recieve help when they were in their own country! If you are Australian(whic I presume you are), give Australia a breal and acknowledge the efforts that the do put in to make our country as peaceful and safe as what it is, we have limited resources and the gov. assists in every way they possibly can!

When people visit another country it is for pleasure. If that country is attacked by another nation for whatever reason, then the onus is on the aggressor to protect foreign nationals,or should be.Unfortunately israel does'nt give a damn about condemnation by anyone. They act like a bull in a china shop.Australia is doing all it can to help her citizens leave lebanon, Just as is every other country is doing likewise,I'm sure some of these other nations like the brits and greeks are helping to get some aussies out.Give credit where it's due,the government is trying with all the means at her disposal to help If you must attach blame, blame the aggressor.

I'd like to say jokingly that it's because no-one likes Australians.
In reality, this wouldn't be true, it's just Neighbours and Home and Away I'd leave in Lebanon.

In reality, we should all be helping any foreigners to leave the Lebanon as a matter of urgency, no matter what their nationality and the current refusal by Israel to not support a ceasefire at least during this withdrawal period and its despicable support by the US should be condemned worldwide. Israel should be invaded by a coalition of world forces and forced back to its original boundaries for invading other sovereign countries. Oops, sorry, I was getting confused with Iraq and Kuwait.
