Abortion has always been around, legally or not. As long as women are allowed to vote, it will be kept safe and legal!!

Abortions will always be around.
But in my personal opinion i think they should stay, But it shouldn't be the governments decision because they are not the ones going through the pain of motherhood. This is going towards the guys saying whether or not abortions should stay. To me they shouldn't have brought this situation again because it did nothing but cause problems.

I think it should be legal, but also that counseling should be provided to make sure it is the only way out.

For certain cases, like a pregnancy after rape, it should be offered automatically, though again with counseling.

But let's take one step back, and look at the why. The Netherlands which have excellent sex education, and freely available birth control means, have the lowest number of teen pregnancies in the Western World, and therefore much less need for abortions.

The more open we can discuss sex, the less mess there is too clean up afterwards.

Abortion has its benefits. If the mother faces complications with the pregnancy, more often than not, the doctor would advise her to go through with abortion, especially when it is life threatening.

However, with the advent of teenagers getting themselves in trouble and end up pregnant (and adult women too), they are abusing this science. They think nothing about terminating this life that is growing in them.

Hence, it is difficult to come to a conclusion whether abortion is to stay or is to be removed.

Abortion has, and will always be around.

But the whole concept that it's a constituional right, guaranteed by our founding fathers... I don't think so.

This assault on the constitution is really bad, it's called "judicial activism" or a "living document", which means, "I'll tell you what I WANT it to tell you".

Ouch.. that's gotta stop

But, the bottom line... abortion laws are a state issue. I don't think it's the convenient answer, - but it's definitely the right answer.

It is probably here to stay, though it should go. Either way as stated by someone above, it is NOT a constitutional right, and by definition the Federal government has no place being involved. It should be a state issue.

the woman's right of choice should not be rescinded. Women will get them if they need them. It is better to get one from a real doctor instead of a clothes hanger and a dirty back room.
We talk of the rights of the unborn, what of the rights of the adult woman? Maybe she doesn't want to be a mommy and her birth control didn't work. Abortion is a last resort for most women and not a first choice form of birth control.

Abortion has always and will always be around. No one has the right to force a female to carry a fetus to term since all childbirths are a risk to that female's life.

Stay. Whether I approve of it or not, it's not my place to tell people what they can and can't do when it comes to deciding to carry a child to term.

Any more than I can tell people what they can and can't have pierced....or tatooed..or any of a hundred things much less important than the decision to have a child.

I'd also rather have it done legally, then to have women dying from the illegal ones.

Even if it becomes illegal women will still get them (just secretly like before). Doesn't seem to matter how much money we allocate for education -- people will always be careless and selfish -- so abortion will remain one way or another.
