Hello,

People why is it that in this world if you have no money you can't survive? it's kinda sad that the world works this way, for example when I go to eat out for a dinner, I'm expected to give the waiter a bigger tip than what my meal sometimes just because I'm "ME" it's expected that I have got money to burn!!

Do you think it's sad that alll them homless people out there will never get the true help they need and deserve and that all them working poor will never be able to enjoy themselves?

Thankyou,
For Reading!!

It's fair enough to give a tip - but only if you feel the service has been good! And certainly no more than 10% - just because your You doesn't mean you should feel obliged to give any more.

As for the working poor - I'm not too flush at the minute, but there is always someone worse than me! that's how I get by. I have a decent wage but at the minute waiting on house sale to clear debts - then I'll be fine.

I will do my bit for certain charities that are close to my heart, but I work for my money - I work damn hard and I deserve to have it. Just like you - You work real hard to and the money that you get is just as well deserved - you just happen to get paid better, that's all.

Right I'm babbling on here, so sorry!

You worry too much about others and helping people - As I have always told you, YOU work hard! You're talented, and you deserve the recognition and the money so take it, help yourself and your family, and friends, and... well... Bygones!

Cheers

See I would beg to differ from SUN M.

There is enough money to go around but too many people have too much and are too greedy. Not getting at you mate.

Homeless people I always feel for but I think that a proportion of them are perhaps druggies and alcoholics and this is what they might spend their money on. I actualy tend to give something to most beggars and I think sometimes giving them a meal is a good idea as at least you know what the money is being spent on.

We should all give more including me!

I know what you mean about having no money and not being able to survive. I'm worried about myself as I don't seem to be able to command a salary decent enough to own a home - i'm on less than 10 grand. And I am a hard worker and really try.

I think we should always tip waiters as they are on meager money and need your tips to get by. Don't tip extravagantly though.

There is indeed a lot of terrible poverty in the world and it doesn't seem fair that some have so much and some so little. If we all do a small amount to help, perhaps we can make some difference. So, next time you are going to go out for that meal, where the big tip is expected, don't - give what you would have spent to a homeless shelter, or charity, and have beans on toast at home! If we all did something like that, just once in a while, I reckon we could make a huge difference.

If you were a waiter you would have understood better, and you wouldn't even have said anything like ' expected to give a bigger tip than what you meal was'.
At least they work for their money.
And if you do not have any money, get a job, and do not say that you can't find a job, do waitressing or something...

I am a US soldier and considering what i do in a day i am poor. I think some americans pay people too much to do some things and not enough to do the ones that matter. All of these pro athletes say they support us why not trade pay for a year or you go to iraq and fight. The problem is the lower class will always do the fighting and be under appreciated.

Sad indeed but employers don't pay waiters that much money (the law allows) so they MUST rely on tips - they have to make a living too..
It is tough to survive without money. But that doesn't mean it can't be done.. You're still here.

There is plenty money, its just a case of people getting a rocket up their backsides and getting a job.Tipping, you do not need to give a large tip, they are already getting paid for their job.Homeless, they can help themselves easily.most are pretending to get booze!!!They even borrow dogs to sit with them so people feel sorry for them and give them extra cash!!!I know this for a fact. There are hostels, etc and workers who go out onto the street trying to help these people get accomodation etc.A lot of people dont want to be helped.

Sure its normal to empathize with these people but if you do not look out for number one, you could be one of them. If people really want out of their enviroment, they can change it. There are programs, free education available in grants and loans, discounted services, you name it. If you really worry about this alot, then you are headed for a miserable life.
