I'd like to have an open casket with a viewing where I am dressed in full clown makeup- red nose, wig, and costume, and the circus theme plays (motion sensor) whenever someone walks by. I'd also like popcorn, peanuts and balloons offered by vendors walking up and down during the services. Party afterwards of course, is necessity. So, is this a sign of a disturbed mind or just entertaining? By the way- I'm completely serious.

You'll have to plan your funeral beforehand, because it's really difficult to do so after your deceased.

I think you should remember to have someone wearing a top hat and megaphone at the door, saying, "...Step Right In!!!..."

Oh YEAH! in the subject of the honorable Dr. H.S. Thompson, i might choose to be creamated, and then i might request that the ashes be fired from a great cannon out right into a valley from a 500 foot statue that symbolizes me and each little thing i'm approximately! and that i may well be offeneded if a minimum of two senators did not attend my funeral. i desire i will befriend a celeberty like Dr. H.S. Thompson did (Johnny Depp, who paid for this) and so this statue and cannon employer could be paid for. I truthfully have like, little or no money, so i might in simple terms be dreaming. yet in spite of this, you may call me a dreamer, yet i contest that i probable am not the only one.

no I don't think you're sick. It's your final form of expression &
the choice is Yours. It's a bit different, yet personal. At least you've planned ahead. Most people never get around to it.
I'm a funeral director & embalmer. I 've seen different!
I hope you have a long & fruitful life until then.

Your funeral is your business. If it makes you happy to do that and to know that your family and friends will be amused...go for it.
I don't want a traditional tear jerker funeral either...
your funeral plans sound like fun!
Who says at a funeral..you have to bawl and squall and sling snot all over the place???

If you lived your life in celebration and joy, than by all means go out that way. Personally, I want a Jazz band , with everyone second lining.

I think it will be fantastic if it really happen to your preference. Now you've only got to get the right person to entrust your will to.
I'm even thinking of getting a rock band at mine, but sadly, it is not acceptable for my culture.
Hope you get what you want and when it happens, do send me an invite. :D
