MCA (Master of Computer Applications) is a 3-year postgraduate program in computers (some institutes have 2 year programs). It is also called PGDCA or PGDIT. They all refer to the same postgraduate program, MCA. It can be either a degree or diploma. MCAs generally are concerned with the SOFTWARE field. A great career for those having a mathematical or analytical mindset.

Job Prospects :

After completing MCA, a student is absorbed into the industry as a programmer. The starting salary may vary from a gross of Rs 72,000 to as much as Rs 3,50,000 per annum. There are a lot of openings for a candidate after finishing his MCA. One very popular option could be working as a System Analyst.

MCA stands for Master of Computer Applications. Its a post-graduate course of either 2 or 3 years.It depends upon the university from which u r goin to pursue it. U must have a bachelor degree in any stream to do MCA.

MCA is stand for master in computer application, it's post graduate course , it's actually deal with a computer,(i.e software) programming Part. You can do it full time or u can do it corresspondence ,... it's good .
