I was just wondering, how do game shows get all that money and huge prizes to pay their winning contestants? I mean Their giving out hundreds of thousands of dollars, cars, dream vacations, i mean, who funds and sponsors for all of it?

Actually, to keep their cost consistant, the game shows take out an insurance policy that pays any prizes over a certain amount. For instance, they may pay 10000 dollars for each contestant that comes on the show. The policy then pays out the prizes. Hopefully the number of loser will be less than the winners, and the insurance company will make money on the deal. The policy is paid for by selling the show to the TV networks. The networks get their money from the advertisers.
