Diablo is an RPG game. It is not complicated and is rather mindless if you've played World of Warcraft or other more sophisticated RPGs. There is no real strategy to the game and is easy to cheat in.

I'd consider it an RPG. While it has real- time action, there's not any real technique in fighting since you just click on your target to attack it. You have to choose what type of attack you are doing but that's about it. Diablo's more about building up your character with experience and loot, exploration on the first time through, and working together with online allies to bring down whatever.

It a Role Playing Game. You can choose one of three classes, and fight you way down a dungeon to kill Diablo, the Lord of Terror. In the sequel, you can choose from seven classes, and track Diablo across Sanctuary, the land of Diablo, to kill him and various bosses.

No. It's actually a prototype for the current on-line RPG games like ragnarok, rose, guild wars, etc.
I love Diablo.
