in your email, open a new message. somewhere there will be an "attach" or "attachments" button. click this button and it will tell you to select the file or files you want to attach from a drop down menu that will pop up.
(example: you have a pic of your kid that you named "babysfirststeps.jpg", and you stored it in your pictures file on your hard drive. when the drop down menu pops up, click on hard drive (what ever you named it), then click on Pictures, then click on babysfirststeps.jpg)
this will automatically attach the baby pic to your new email message. then you just type your message as usual and send. There will be a little paperclip icon that shows up on your message to indicate that there is an attachment.
I hope I explained that OK- I know how to do it, but not sure I'm great at explaining it..... email me if you need further info.
good luck!!!

Of course you can!
It all depends on what software package you are using to send an email but many people use Outlook. To add a picture:
Click create new email button (or whatever your package uses to create a new email)
Go to the insert menu and select 'File Attachment'. Another good bet would be to click on any toolbar that has a paperclip image on it (generally used to denote an attachment).
You should then see a dialogue box that lets you choose the file you want to add (a good possibility would be 'My Pictures'). Select the file and then click OK.
You should be able to send as normal.
HOWEVER there is a little warning here. Images can be very large indeed. Especially if taken with a modern digital camera, try to ensure the file you are sending ends in '.jpg' as these are most suitable for sending over the Internet. These can still be very large, try posting another question on how to resize images if you're not sure how to do this!
Hope this helps..

Write out the email. click on "attachments" a box will come up with "browse" written in it, go to the folder that has the pic in, click on select and it will insert it into the email
alternatively, you can click and drag a picture onto an email if you wish, but only on MAC or Outlook , not web mail
