DONT WEAR A WHITE DRESS TO A WEDDING WHICH IS NOT URS!!!!!
i made the mistake of wearing a white gown to my best friends wedding and in the wedding everyone was looking at me like MAN IS SHE JEALOUS that her friend got married b4 her
there was so much staring that i came close to crying
but it was my fault too bcoz my gown was total WHITE
so if ur gown is white too just add something colorful too it
like wear some overclothe which is red or any other color then white
or wear some shawl or anything else over ur white gown
jsut make sure the gown isnt all white
u will be fine i just hope that what happened to me doesnt happen to u
GOOD LUCK!!1

From what I understand, only the bride is allowed to wear white. However, if it's just a party, that might be okay.
I would probably opt for another dress from your closet, though. Since it's summer, you could get away with a tasteful, sleeveless dress that wouldn't be appropriate the rest of the year.
Good luck and have fun!

A long white gown? That may be a little too formal.
You don't want to out-do the bride.
How about just a normal length dress, and yes white would be fine.

I would go to the mall or to the back of your closet and pull out a different color dress, the people will be talking about you since you decided to wear white.

I think wearing white is fine as long as the dress isn't overly fancy. But if you feel uncomfortable about it now, you might should re-think it because you will probably be paranoid. Its not all about what you wear, but also how you feel. Focus more on yourself, not what others think.

As long as it doesnt look like a brides dress, go with a pastel though.

I don't think that's appropriate. The bride should be the only one in white.

No, I think it sounds okay. Some people have their opinions. Who cares? Besides, it doesn't sound like something that loud or anything.
