To Kill A Mockingbird

Classic story of innocence lost, strong family ties and strong sense of morality. This story tries to teach us that doing what is right is often the hardest thing to do.

King Fortis the Brave. I love fantasy adventures like Harry Potter, Chronicles of Narnia etc. and King Fortis is the one that pulled me in the most. The characters are great, there's a lot of humor and the action is non-stop. The only thing I didn't like was that it came to an end (but it is supposed to be the first book in a trilogy).

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof- Tennessee William's......a poignant look at the complexities of raw human emotion. Certainly his plays shocked their contemporary audiences in their unprecedented treatment of the violence, rape, incest, alcoholism, and other secret traumas that haunt the everyday. Ultimately their insight, however, goes far beyond their "shock value"—that is, their capacity to offend conventional morality. If such were the case, Williams's impassioned, seductive, and often nightmarish visions of American life would be far easier to forget.

Based on a true story.

"Tuesdays with Morrie" is a story of a dying professor and his student exploring and talking about the complexities of death, people, our culture, and love. In the end, the most important lesson, is how to love someone.

One of the most famous quotes from Morrie is, "Love each other or perish."

Short stories by E. A. Poe. Those with a bit of mysticism, horror. Gothic ones. Because i don't like happy endings I guess..

Shirley Jackson's short story, the Lottery. It doesn't fit a definition of stark, graphic horror, but yet, it's a Horror Tale! I loved reading this.

Also, The Monkey's Paw.....a really short tale of horror...I don't recall the author of this short story.

"Lotta Honey"

My favorite is always the one I just finished reading. As of last week, that would be "Tripmaster Monkey," Maxine Hong Kingston.
