It is typically a financial or space thing. I agree with you.

They're not paid enough to put dividers between the urinals. Everyone would like that, especially me, because I have a phobia of urinals (because most urinals don't have dividers between them, and NO I don't have a small penis, it's just that I have a feeling that I'm being watched whenever I use a urinal), and I can never go to the toilet unless I have some privacy. If there was a bathroom with urinals only, then I'd either force everyone to get out of the room, or go to the next bathroom closest to that one. That's how far I would go to get some privacy.

To answer brevejunkie's question, I'd have to say I don't give a damn, because first of all I don't even know who they are, and secondly, they don't know whether you did a piss or a ****, so they really can't say anything, anyway.

I'm a woman, so thankfully I don't have to use a urinal. I've wondered about this though. Why are urinals even built? To save water? I doubt they could use THAT much less water than a toilet. I'd like to think most men would be decent enough to keep their eyes to themselves, but I'm sure there are plenty of men who sneak glances at other men.

I have a question for you (and any other guys who read this response): What happens to men who go to a restroom and use the toilet (when only one or two urinals are in use, and there are other ones free to be used)? Do other men make rude comments or treat you strangely because you pee in the toilet instead?

At the race track they have a long troth along the wall that everyone pees in. Sometimes a gay guy takes one end and spends a half hour checking out the row of urinating penises.
I go behind the building. I can't pee when a stranger is checking my equipment.

If men sat down when pee, people will thought to build divider. Otherwise, so many things to cover, life will be very difficult !

All right, from now on, whenever I get the chance I'll put them in. I think the concept evolved from the crib type, where you cannot install dividers. When the individual type came to be in used, it naturally evolved from there.

I'm convinced it was a female architect who drafted up the floor plan. Women are they only ones who yack to each other through stalls!

Perhaps in order to make it easier to distinguish who's gay and who's straight? LOL.... A gay man will definitely try to sneak peek on the merchandise of the guy next to him, while a straight guy will just mind his own business and keep his eyes focused in front of him. LOL....
