this is distressing. be good in life and play by the rules and norms laid down by society and its people.
if you turn good, guilt will be a wasted emotion.

there are only a few ways to get rid of guilt. the easiest is to not do whatever it is that is making you feel guilty. the second is to redeem yourself. try doing something good. by doing this you may still feel guilty but at least you will feel better about yourself. as for the praying, being someone who doesn't believe in a lot of that kind of stuff, its not surprising that it doesn't work. and you are most definitely a demon, to feel guilt, whether excessive or limited, is very normal. you should be more worried if you are not feeling guilty!

well, i guess first off, you need to define bad. there's "naughty", and then there's "bad to the bone" - there's illegal by law, and then there's what society might consider ammoral. if a friend confesssed to you the exact things that you feel guilty about, would you think less of him/her? What would you suggest that they do? Sometimes people are harshest in judgment when it comes to themselves -- it's kind of a reverse form of arrogance -- oh, sure other people do bad things, but whoa, no one compares to me -- even if your "sins" are far less severe than someone elses....i.e. you might have lied to your mom about eating the last cookie, while someone else might have lied to the store manager about stealing a candy bar, while someone else might have killed the store manager to steal the money and the chocolate --- and you feel worse than the killer. i don't know if that applies to you or not.
***i would not try to pray away the guilt, why not pray for guidance in making choices that are congruent with your conscience? Ask for help in making decisions that will help you feel proud of yourself. The more opportunities you have to experience yourself in a positive light, the less guilt ridden you will feel. You will probably find that you are becoming more productive as a result, that helps the world you live in. Good luck!

Don't pray away your guilt. It's there for a reasons. It's trying to stop you from making the same mistakes again. Maybe keep a diary or journal to help get things out of your direct thoughts. Apologize to the people you messed over.

Yes, you can. The Bible tells us in 1. John 1, 9 that if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
The important thing is that you have to go to God with your guilt and ask him for forgiveness. You need to repent.
The word repent literally means to make a 180° turn and walk in the other direction. That means you walk away from what causes you to sin, and follow the one, who can keep you from sinning instead.
That brings us to a question. Do you want to live your life right or do you want to continue living the same way you've lived so far? Are you looking for forgiveness, for peace with God or just for someone to give you a pat on the back and tell you that it's OK, that there is no reason to feel guilty at all? Only you can answer these questions. God is willing to forgive you. He already sent Jesus to die for your sins. Are you willing to put your trust in him and follow him?

There are two kinds of guilt: appropriate guilt and inappropriate guilt. If you have done something wrong, and you know it, that is appropriate guilt. If you've been manipulated into thinking that you're guilty, that is inappropriate guilt.
Dude, it's just your conscience talking to you. But it sounds like you need to talk to a professional about it so a diagnosis can be made.

You can never make it go away, which is why one should live life and only do things without regret or guilt in the first place.
You could always go as far as to make good to the persons you've wronged, or try to contribute to others as karmatic repayment to the things you took away.
But it's something you will always live with. But it's experiences like that, that teaches us to be better people in the future.

Guilt does not go away by praying, but by correcting the cause of you guilt, or trying to amend the consequences of you doing.
Then the guilt will subside, and you will have a peace again.
People are somtime working all their life in hope that this work will lessen the burden of their guilt, and give them their peace.
Sometime it works , sometime it is not. But you have to accept consequences of your doing, whatever it is.
It is your work and your doing in good and in evil.

You need to asses the damage. Is it really that bad? If it is, maybe some apologies are in order. Guilt is usually an indication that you feel sorry for what you've done. If you continue to do bad things, maybe you don't feel sorry and need to just embrace your inner Super Villain.

You must repent and be born again. You have the good sense to realize that you have sin in your life which is the first step to Salvation. God I Pray that you draw this person to your Son and that the Holy Spirit convict of sin so that they will come to Jesus Christ and believe in His death for our sins, His burial and His resurrection on the third day by the power of God the Father and be saved.

guilt is just insanity - instead
pursue your happiness with all you have got - pursue your happiness with all your nerves, mind, heart, soul, wits, time, energy
this is proper selflove, and love of others and love of love [=god]
make up your own mind whether anything is bad -
a thing is bad if it makes you unhappy, causes you trouble, any bad stuff
just learn from your mistakes and go on pursuing
if you love yourself 100% by pursuing your greatest happiness 100% you will automatically love others and love love [=god]
to be love you have to do love, and the only way you can do love is by pursuing your happiness 100% - you will find that, if you pursue your own happiness ardently, you will be love, and your love will radiate to others automatically and you will love love, because you will be experiencing true love -
the sun lives in light, gives light all the time, because it does light all the time - and pursuing your happiness is all of light, all of meaning, all of sanity, all of love
guilt is no part of the divine path - pursuit of your happiness is all of the divine path
