In the math we learn 2+2 =4. Anybody can create a math where two plus two equals something else, maybe more than one thing, but you would have to come up with some new rules that work in your new math.
If you take them( these rules) for granted they are called axioms, if they are proven these rules are called theorems. Still you would need to develop your new math up to a point where it became interesting to study.

For instance I remember learning that complex numbers were not created with any purpose in mind, but when the math behind them became solid applications were found for them. If a new math is carefully created it almost surely becomes true in SOME CASES.

Okay, I'm pulling out the math nerd in me... It's NOT always 4, because you can add in different bases. Base 10, 2+2=4 always. However, in base 3, 2+2 = 11. In base 3, the "tens" place is actualy that many multiples of 3, so you would have the following numbers for base 3:
0 = 0 10 = 101
1 = 1 11 = 102
2 = 2 12 = 110
3 = 10 13 = 111
4 = 11 14 = 112
5 = 12 15 = 120
6 = 20 16 = 121
7 = 21 17 = 122
8 = 22 18 = 200
9 = 100 19 = 201
And so on, where the "one's" colum is just 0 1 0r 2, the "tens" column represents how many multiples of 3, the "hundred's" column represents the number of 3^2=9, "thousands" would be 3^3=27's, and so on...
So I it possible for 2 + 2 to not equal 4, and instead be 10! Crazy, huh! ;-)

because 2+2=not 3 or 5 so that it should be 4

It is not always equal to 4. If you add two couples, 2 plus 2 may turn out to become 2 plus 2 plus 1 plus 1... that makes 6, for example..... and if they give birth to twins or something,,, it can go up from 4 to 6 and up to.... 14, let's say if both couples get fiver twins!

So, when there is love involved, 2 plus 2 can make more than 4.. :)

That's the addition rule of mathematics !!

However, 2+2 can also give 6 (sometimes 8)
Two men and two women live together, after a year each couple has a baby so 2+2=6 and if both couples get twins then 2+2=8
hehe !!

It is based upon an 'axiom'. An axium is an agreed starting point that everone agrees with. The basic axiom is 1+1=2. This flows onto basic addition and subtraction using an agreed 'number line' (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, etc.)

A really good question. I tried it on my calculator a few times and it amazingly gives four everytime. However this does not mean that it will be four in future. We can never predict the future.

The reason for this is clear. Terrorism. We must attack the axis of evil at once and kill all those infidels who are sitting on our oil. Then 2+2 will equal something much better and all americans can have a better life.

Bcause that is rules. Like the laws in your country. If there ain't any, Maths will unorganised and chaotic just like a lawless country.
But just like different countries have different laws, maths is like that too. If the base is 2 and not 10, then 2+2=11. If the base is 3, then 2+2=10.

2 + 2 = 4

...because of the very definition of 2, 4, +, and =.

2 is the quantity acquired by combining two single items.
4 is the quantity acquired by combining four single items.
+ is the addition operator.
= is the equality designator.
