I'm since using a spray to prevent them, but a few days ago i got bitten on my leg and i've had a bad reaction. Thing is - i have a wedding to attend in one week and my dress comes above the bites. From past experiance they can stay red and swollen for up to three weeks.
So far i've been putting an aloe vera based gel on them, but it hasn't made a difference

You need to get the PH of your skin back to normal and to do that you need to first cool the area. Under cold water, or ice is fine. Then you need to take 1/2 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar, mixed with a half a cup of water, and make a compress and put it on your bites.

FYI - To stop these bastards from biting you in the first place, take a strong B complex vitamin daily. Mosquito's don't like the way the vitamin makes your skin smell, and they stay clear away. And we, as humans, don't smell anything on our skin. It works. I've tried it.

alright cool down, first issues first. Get those bites below warm water and that i recommend warm water. placed the nice and cozy water on a wash textile and placed on the bites, it is going to damage yet that can be a tremendous answer. attempt this for roughly 0.5 an hour, then upon getting had the soaked below warm water rush over to the bathtub room and get creams and ointments that ought to help along with Itch cream, Gold bond some thing that can help you. The stuff that works the acceptable are Mexican itch creams. in case you get countless the Mexican stuff on the redness will be lengthy gone interior 5 minutes on the most 10 minute believe me it truly works. in case you do not have Mexican itch cream and also you stay on the point of the border rush over there once plausible and get a number of there itch cream. Try looking at this web page

http://www.ehow.com/how_3041_treat-mosquito-bite.html

I recommend baking soda method I know it works for bee stings

The stores have something called a "mosquito stick", "bite stick" , or "itch stick" I'm not sure which is the right name but that works too.

And if all else fails I know method #59 works . A long time I was told why it worked (something about the acids) but I forgot the details (Sorry). Page where to find method 59:

Use an antihistamine lotion. Something with dyphenhydramine should work to help recude the redness and swelling.

Also, DO NOT rub or scratch at it or it will only become more inflamed.

Good luck.
